What is Collagen?

The number one source of skin elasticity is collagen.  When we are young the amount of collagen produced are abundant.  As we grow older these tend to be reduced.  Thus you can see sagging around your eyes, chins and other part of your body.

To combat this problem. medical spa industry invented synthetic fillers which comprised of hyaluroinic acid and other materials created in the lab to produce synthetic collagen.

Hyaluronic acid are found mostly in our eyes and joints.

If you would apply collagen directly to your skin it may not absorb at all. However if you digest it and/or getting injectable fillers it will absorb more easily onto your skin.  You will find most medical spas provide injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Belotero, Voluma etc. Botox is known as muscle relaxers where it will smooth deep wrinkles lines especially around your forehead.  If you don’t have a lot of money for more permanent solution to face lift these injectable fillers can provide less costly and minimal invasive procedures.
